Choosing headphones for your Android smartphone

Modern smartphones on Android have become an integral attribute due to its functionality. Among the important features of the devices, one also cannot help but include additional functions – these are games, videos and of course music, which can be stored both in the internal memory of a mobile phone and on a memory card. The only thing left is to choose high-quality headphones for a smartphone. It is a mistake to assume that buying a headset for a phone is a simple matter, in order to get a high-quality and reliable gadget, you need to understand the criteria for choosing headphones.
HEADPHONE CHOICE OPTIONS FOR SMARTPHONE
Remember that the right choice is the key to sound quality and ease of use. In order for the Android phone to sound “to the fullest,” and listening to it is only a pleasure, you need to choose the right headphones. To do this, you need to understand a little how they are arranged and what characteristics they have.

frequency range

Determines the minimum and maximum that the headphones are capable of. Logically, a wide range provides enhanced sound capabilities. The frequency range depends on the diameter of the membrane, the size of which is directly proportional to the width of the frequency range. The human ear is capable of perceiving a frequency in the range of 15-20,000 Hz, so do not chase the parameters and trust advertisers who promise super-sound up to 100,000 Hz.

Sensitivity

It is responsible for the volume of the headphones. When choosing in favor of a particular model, we take into account that the higher the sensitivity value, the louder the music will sound. The sensitivity indicator of headphones designed for use at home or in the studio is 90-105 dec. Android smartphones involve the use of headphones with values of 100-120 dec. This is quite enough for comfortable listening without the risk of distortion. At the same time, do not forget to take care of your hearing aid, carried away by too loud playback of tracks.

Resistance

When choosing gadgets for your smartphone, you must take into account the resistance, which should not be very large (32-35 Ohms – the norm), but also not cross the lower permissible edge (less than 16 Ohms). If the resistance exceeds the permissible norm, the Android phone will not be able to correctly reproduce the sound, if it is below the necessary – this can greatly distort the sound.

Power

When choosing a headset, you need to remember that the power of the connector in the smartphone is not large, therefore, the power of the selected headset should not be too large. The best option would be to opt for 100 mW.

Distortion level

The characteristic is directly proportional to the sound quality, that is, the higher the level of distortion, the worse the sound. Depends on the mass of the headset – excessively small headphones will inevitably lead to distortion of sound. The earbuds and vacuum headphones should optimally weigh 5-30 g, overheads 40-100 g. The permissible distortion in the frequency range 100 Hz – 2 kHz is not more than one percent.

Cord length

Paying attention to the length of the headphone cord, the user often has to hold a smartphone in his hands. The correct length of the wire should allow you to put the Android phone in your jeans or jacket pocket.

WHAT ARE TYPES OF HEADPHONES

Before you buy headphones, you need to figure out what types of them are and what you need. Android smartphones are equipped with standard 3.5 mm jacks and Type-c connectors. Accordingly, to select a wired headset, you must definitely pay attention to the type of connector in the phone.

In-ear headphones

They earned their name through their use – headphones are put into the ear, they have a standard size in all models. Very often this type of headset is inconvenient – the headphones simply drop out. Also, low sound power and average sound insulation will not please.

Vacuum headphones

A popular option that is very popular among music lovers. The design of the headset provides silicone pads, the size of which is easy to choose according to the size of the ear. Excellent sound insulation is ensured by the tight fit of silicone to the skin. Headphone power and high quality sound will delight you. However, vacuum earphones have one significant minus – due to their increased characteristics, this headset can seriously damage.
